AT THE BIKE ZOO

I love my job! Working in a bike environment is almost like not working. To be surrounded by bikes, bike gear and bikers - the only thing missing is Saturday’s off for riding - but hey - I am off at 2.

My newest and current bike is a Specialized S-Works Roubaix. It’s so smooth and sweet.

CURRENT BIKE:
My current bike is a Specialized Roubaix which I upgraded with Mavic Kysrium wheels.

I’ve recently sold my mountain bike so I’m thinking a pink Specialized Epic - this spring??

And with designs swirling in my head, an Independent Fabrications custom bike is somewhere in my future! Do I want pink?, yellow?, mint green/black? touring? cyclo-cross?

FAVORITE LOCAL RIDE:
My favorite local road ride is just about any direction in South Knoxville, but I also love the House Mountain area and Mt. Larry. Lots of great roads with never enough time.

I’ve had a bicycle all my life, commuted to college on my bike, but it’s only been the last three years that I’ve stepped up the pace to a higher level of riding.

I started at the Bike Zoo in the spring of 2006 so I’m the newbie with lots to learn!

Currently I’m the president of the Smoky Mountain Wheelmen - so I encourage everyone to reconnect with their bikes or if you’re just starting - come and join us for a ride.
